Lauren Masopust

LMFT, PMH-C

Lauren grew up surrounded by the verdant beauty and culinary excellence of the Napa Valley. Behind the brilliant exterior, Lauren observed early on that even families that appear well-off on the outside can feel trapped in emotional pain, relational distress, and trauma.

Later in life, Lauren found her skills and personality fit harmoniously with the dynamic, intellectually stimulating world of couples therapy. In her collaborative approach, Lauren uses her sharp intellect, creativity, and characteristic warmth to tailor effective interventions to each person she meets.

Lauren’s approach involves providing clients with a safe and non-judgmental space to create a narrative of their past and explore relational dynamics in the present. After gaining greater self-reflection, clients often feel empowered to make changes in their lives so they can experience greater meaning, peace, joy, and connection within relationships.

What are your interests outside of work?

I’m always learning. Currently (2024), I am learning to play a new instrument, to code in Python, and to pace myself as I train for my first sprint triathlon!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Intentional movement.

How do you recharge?

I am a big fan of mindfulness — whether it be yoga, a walking meditation, mindfully engaging in play with my children, or a classic seated meditation, I find the breath to be an anchor at the beginning and end of my day.

Do you have any pets?

My sweet corgi, Dolly Pawton.
